Nikos is an Athens Law School graduate, member of the Athens Bar Association since 1996 and a lecturer of Commercial Law in the Law School of the University of Athens since 2009.

He holds an LL.M. degree from the Law School of the University of Hamburg, the subject of his dissertation being on the defective business agreements, under the supervision of Professor K.Schmidt.

Being a Hellenic Scholarship Foundation scholar, in 2000 he received a doctorate magna cum laude from the University of Cologne, the subject of his thesis being on the law of undercapitalization, under the supervision of Professor H. Wiedemann.

Between 2003 and 2009 Nikos held a position of special scientist in the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace, where he was teaching selected corporate law courses.

In 2007, Nikos joined Politis & Partners, while also serving as a legal counsel in the Bank of Greece. He practices law in the areas of commercial, corporate, employment, insurance banking & finance, securities, bankruptcy and competition law.

Nikos is a member of the Greek Corporate Lawyers’ Union and editor of the monthly “Business Law Review” (“DEE”) and the quarterly “Commercial Law Review”. He has participated as lecturer in various conferences and seminars and has published extensively in the fields of Corporate, Finance and Banking Law. 

Nikos is fluent in Greek, German and English.
